Prevention of Diabetes with Daily Aspirin Use in Adults

Scientific study conducted by researchers from Monash University in Australia. The study involved 16,000 people over the age of 65 and lasted about 5 years. Participants were asked to take a low-dose aspirin daily. The results showed that these individuals were 15% less likely to develop diabetes compared to others.

Treatment with aspirin reduces the risk of developing diabetes. Given the prevalence of type 2 diabetes among the elderly, more studies should be conducted on the potential of drug factors like aspirin in preventing this type of diabetes. Excessive use of aspirin without medical supervision can increase the risk of internal bleeding, especially in the digestive system.
