Every day, year-round and starting as early as 4 in the morning, we work hard without personal costs to make a difference in the lives of the most vulnerable. In the heart of the city, on Vasagatan, the day starts with an act of pure humanity: distributing breakfast to those without a roof over their heads. For those who sleep on the streets, the truly homeless, we offer not just a meal, but also a dose of hope and warmth in the form of coffee, pastries, and sandwiches.
Our commitment goes beyond that. We also meet the medical and clothing needs of these heroes on the street.
From essential medicines to warm clothes, shoes, and bamboo toothbrushes… we extend a hand to help those who live on the street.
Even if the opportunity is not always there, we do our best to offer a safe night in a hotel or hostel when the cold and uncertainty become too much.
Every week, we also focus on an often overlooked aspect of homelessness: hygiene. By washing their clothes, we restore not just cleanliness, but also their dignity.
Our care doesn’t stop at lunch. The homeless not only receive a meal but also a much-needed break from their daily struggles. And our solidarity knows no bounds.
Over 50 Ukrainian families in poverty visit us in the afternoons. They receive, among other things, staples like pasta, rice, canned goods, and cheese… We are happy to accept items with short dates or minor packaging damages.
In a world that can often feel cold and indifferent, it is our daily task to bring a ray of light and hope to those who need it the most.
Homeless.life does more than just satisfy hunger; we fill hearts with hope and compassion.
